Michael M. Miller is a historian and award-winning author originally from Montana and now based in Texas.
He won the 2016 Spur Award for Best Western Short Nonfiction for “Cowboys and Capitalists: The XIT Ranch in Texas and Montana, 1885–1912”, originally published in Montana: The Magazine of Western History Vol. 65, No. 4 (Winter 2015), pp. 3-28.
