This was a fine day. Got up at 10 O’C – I went up to Rickards for dinner had a fine visit with Lilly & ???? & I and Mrs. Tooly went to Hubbards and had supper & stayed till 7-30. Then we called at Delgers Massings. & played cards at Blairs till midnight.
MMM — note the dinner, supper business. This is what we called these meals as I was growing up. There was lunch, but that did not have quite the same meaning as “dinner.” Today, I call “supper” dinner. Not sure when that changed. Pretty busy Sunday, eh!
